About PMRS

The Palestinian Medical Relief Society (PMRS) is a grassroots, community based Palestinian health organization. It was founded in 1979 by a group of Palestinian doctors and health professionals seeking to supplement the decayed and inadequate health infrastructure caused by years of Israeli military occupation. It is a non-profit, voluntary, and one of the largest health NGOs in Palestine. PMRS national health programs emphasize prevention, education, and community participation, and the empowerment of people.
This blog is a place where members, volunteers and friends of PMRS from around the globe share their experiences, thoughts, and reflections on issues related to health and human rights in Palestine.

About Friends of PMRS

Friends of PMRS is a non-profit US-based organization that strives to raise awareness about the health crisis in Palestine and support the health services developed and provided by PMRS.
